"Reasoning About God, Man and Evil"
by M. Nick Keehus
This book was designed to stimulate the minds of those who are interested in
ultimate issues. It is primarily an introductory work in support of theism with
highlights of Christian theism. I am addressing three main topics: (I) Arguments For
the Existence and Personhood of God; (II) The Folly of Man, Diversion, Radical
Skepticism, Knowledge Relativism and Moral Relativism; and (III) God and the
Problem(s) of Evil.
Also, this book aims to communicate philosophical truths, logic, theology and science by means of a dialogue between an agnostic sociologist and a philosophical apologist, both of whom are graduate students in their respective fields., This format will most likely ease the task for the reader to understand the content if newly exposed to such material. Some issues may be a bit challenging for the new reader, hence, in the footnotes; various definitions can be found that clarifies certain "household words" within philosophical and apologetic circles.
There are many apologetic works far more exhaustive than this one that the reader can consult. The purpose of this work is to familiarize the believer and the seeker to the world of apologetics by means of a brief dialogue on crucial topics. Although, much more could be said concerning each argument, in limiting these subjects by not covering everything that could be said, one always takes the risk of committing certain generalizations, etc. But hopefully, in the scope of the whole - the totality of the content - great truths will be discovered having eternal value.
